Catamarans
H2O Sensations was born out of a passion for light sailing!
Our aim is to provide you with the best possible advice for your purchases! Sport catamarans are in our DNA!
Sport catamarans are small boats with two symmetrical or asymmetrical hulls, usually connected by two beams. The beams are usually made of aluminum for cost reasons, but they can be made from other materials, such as carbon, to save weight.
Sport catamarans range from 12 to 23 feet, with dimensions from 3.6m to 7m. These boats are light enough to be handled by one to three people. No need for a crane to launch or move them. Widths range from 170cm to 320cm, and weights from 80 to 250kg.
The most popular formulas are the F16, F18 and F20!

If we leave the budget aside, which in the end will not be an option, it is very important to know who will be using the boat and to identify the following points:
- The number of people who will be on board 80% of the time
- User skills
- Average weight of users
- Major location of use
These criteria will guide you towards the following major catamaran families on the market:
- Sailing school catamarans
- Family leisure catamaran
- Archimedean racers
- Floiling boats
but also their dimensions, which will have an impact on :
- handling on land
- storage
- performance (not necessarily the most powerful machines)
- ease of maintenance and spare parts replacement.
A boat at a great price may not be for you, and H2O Sensations is here to guide you in your search and answer your questions.
