Roots Fittings T-Rock 4-2 Low Friction Purchase System 9:1

The T-Rock has been designed to create an ultra-lightweight, 9 strands low-friction pulley system weighing around 10 grams, which prevents over lapping!

When you make a lashing using low-friction rings or thimbles, the more turns you make, the more your lines cross over and jam each other. The result:

• It is no longer possible to make fine adjustments
• The lines underneath are blocked by those on top
• The lines underneath bear more load than those on top
• As the lines have become intertwined, it can sometimes be tedious to unblock the lashing.

Just like a low-friction ring, it is possible to finish the lashing around the circumference of the T-Rock, and a 4×10mm pin can be used to connect it to a shackle or a connection plate.

The T-Rock reaches its full potential when used with the L-Rock. The 4-2 values correspond to the diameters of Dyneema to be used.

• 4mm for the outer loop
• 2mm for the inner lashing

The T-Rock has been treated with UV protection to ensure the anodised finish remains durable over time. We recommand the Dyneema SK99 or DM20 in 1.5mm diameter for the lashing!
